　“Another Pete Rock remix”とはピート・ロックがリミックスした曲で耳にするお約束のキャッチ・フレーズだが、ピートはパブリック・エネミーの“Shut ‘Em Down”のリミックスを皮切りに、数々の優れたリミックスをザ・ベースメントと呼ばれる地下のスタジオから世に送り出し、ヒップホップにおけるリミックスの定義を塗り替えた。自らを「リミックス・キング」と呼ぶピートによって、リミックスは12インチ・シングルのB面を穴埋めする以上のものとなり、オリジナル・ヴァージョンを影に追いやってしまうリミックスがいくつも誕生した。これは、そんなオリジナルを凌駕したリミックスを15曲セレクトしたプレイリスト。
